Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with your website. The “Check Metadata” tab is not working for me, while everything else seems to be functioning correctly. When I try to open the metadata page, I get the following error:
“504 Gateway Timeout ERROR. The request could not be satisfied. We can’t connect to the server for this app or website at this time.”
Technical details provided by the error page:
- Generated by: cloudfront (CloudFront) HTTP3 Server
- Request ID: 3EfWhiGN0MwPKHWCC0NXIbhLn4jCgT99WgUne9yBVPuSzjDsNpuz8Q==
Could you please check if there is a server configuration error or if the service is currently overloaded? What should I do to resolve this?
Thank you.
@kramaks
You are experiencing a 504 Gateway Timeout error when trying to use the “Check Metadata” tab on the GroupDocs website, which indicates a server-side issue or service overload . Other users have previously reported similar problems with the metadata application, including freezing during file operations [1, 2]. An internal ticket (METADATAAPP-116) has been created to track these metadata application issues, suggesting that this is a known problem being addressed by the developers .
To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:
- Wait for some time and retry accessing the metadata tab, as the issue might be temporary due to server overload.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
- Try accessing the site from a different browser or device to rule out local issues.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, it’s best to wait for the developers to resolve the underlying issue, as it appears to be a known problem tracked under METADATAAPP-116 . A support engineer will follow up in this thread if needed.
@kramaks
We couldn’t reproduce this issue at our end using sample PDF file. Could you please try the web app again and share the problematic PDF (if issue persists)?
